Masked

Masked,  to hide pain she'll never share; searches for help, but it's never there; looking at life likes it's never fair; storm of tears waiting on the weather to clear; home alone in the silence, but she never hears; thoughts and visions that left her scarred; fought decisions to keep her heart guarded; a Nile River streams down her cheeks; a couple drops seems to always land on her feet; pain so deep, it's been hard for her to sleep; she hasn't been checked on in weeks; Masked, wanting love, but she don't ask; thinking no one is worthy of performing such meaningful task; Masked, hardly remembers her unique features; because she's been hiding behind her own theater; Masked, behind is many confusions, questions, and wonder; digs deep within to see what she'll discover.

Her Heels

For some strange, odd reason, she heals in her heels; interchange in them as if the shoes knows how she feels; she says, "A woman can never have too many;" and baby girl got plenty; buys them when she's feeling low and has dealt with enough; if she has to go through a storm, she's like, "fuck it, I'm dressing up;" who knows what she's been through or how far she's come; every step sounds like a marching band drum; no man can walk a mile in them; her attitude like any other pair with many styles to them; she even got a pair to get buckwild in them; Queen even keeps a low profile in them; replaces her pain with a pair of wedges; listen to Jagged Edge's...
