Her New Home

I text her late one night,
Didn't have the balls to call her;
letting her know how foolish I was,
now that my world seems smaller;

I know I'm too late,
she found someone new;
she found someone that did everything
that I didn't know how to do;

he puts her first,
he buys her things;
he takes her dancing and site-seeing;

he tells her that she's beautiful,
he expresses his true feels;
he doesn't hold back from her,
she doesn't have to ask for refills;

he goes when she calls,
she never feels alone;
he doesn't go out with his bros
when he knows she's at home;

he makes her smile, he makes her laugh;
he pays for everything, he gives her cash;

he encourages her, he's smart;
he's always kept it real from the start;
I can tell that he has her heart,
which literally rips me a part;

I think about all the times I took her for granted;
those times I killed the crop from the seeds I planted;

so it wasn't no surprise to have him text me back from her phone, telling me to leave her alone, because she found a new home.
