Bondage Women

She reminds of Proverbs 31,
and she never feels bothered by her only one;
she believes in the Holy One,
but not in Eve;
blaming her cycle over a myth was hard for her to believe;

looks at the world
and how the women are viewed;
how our young girls are subdued;
and when she speaks up against it,
it's all misconstrued;

in a world where she's subject to lose,
she finds ways to win;
turns on the television,
sees other sisters living in sin;
she wants to make a change,
but don't know where to begin;
don't know how to break the trends of getting misled by men;

"this seems like the end,"
is what she tells me;
I told her,
"live your truth and be yourself, Queen;"

she couldn't believe my comment;
seeing the world for what it is makes her vomit;

that lifestyle seems immovable;
women killing themselves just to be beautiful.
